Introduced in 1938 for the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, the streamlined locomotive became synonymous with luxury rail travel during the height of Britain’s steam era. Designed to operate express passenger routes between London and Glasgow, the Duchess of Hamilton gained international recognition for its sleek Art Deco appearance and engineering performance.
