From the archives: A banknote from the Philippines

The obverse is green on a pink and light blue background, with blue serial numbers. On the left is the portrait of Manuel Quezon (1878-1944), the first president of the Philippines in 1935. He left the country after the Japanese invasion, formed a government-in-exile in the United States, and died in New York. The reverse is green, featuring an image of the Congress Building in Manila.
