Gold Buffalo Debuts, Silver Eagle Returns

Semiquincentennial gold coins dominated much of the U.S. Mint’s weekly sales report, led by the newly released 1776 ~ 2026-W Proof American Gold Buffalo, which is already outselling last year’s issue.
The dual-dated proof Gold Buffalo would have taken the very top spot despite its hefty $5,540 launch price — since adjusted up $100 to $5,640 — but it ranked second with debut sales of 9,865 out of a possible 15,000.
