The U.S. Mint has released its 2026 FIFA World Cup commemoratives. The collection includes a $5 gold coin, a silver dollar, and a clad half dollar.
The obverse of the $5 gold coin depicts the globe as a soccer ball with North America in the center. The inscription FOOTBALL UNITES THE WORLD • IN GOD WE TRUST • 2026 • LIBERTY also appears along the rim. The obverse of the silver dollar depicts a soccer player kneeing a ball with the FIFA 2026 logo in the background. On the clad half dollar’s obverse, a player executes a bicycle kick with the stacked “26” from the FIFA logo in the background. The common reverse for the collection features three hands holding the FIFA World Cup trophy against a stylized stars-and-stripes design. The $5 gold coin includes a West Point (W) mintmark, and the silver dollar and half dollar were struck at the Philadelphia Mint.
