In commemoration of the 35th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, APMEX has partnered with video game company Sega to release a gold bar and five colorized 1-ounce silver rounds to celebrate the popular video game.
The obverse design for four of the .999-fine silver rounds features Sonic with his friends Knuckles and Tails. The game’s logo appears above. Each reverse depicts a different character from the games: Knuckles, Tails, Dr. Eggman, and Sonic. The obverse of the fifth commemorative features Sonic’s face surrounded by gold rings and the seven Chaos Emeralds. The reverse depicts the blue hedgehog in the center with the numeral 35 in the background, as well as the Chaos Emeralds. The legend UNLIMITED POSSIBILITIES frames the design.
